Water

Yesterday morning was foggy and very low clouds on the water...it was really hard to tell where the water and sky met. It looks as if they are one. but, this morning the sun is out and it is beautiful. Each day that breaks, has something wonderful to share with us.

"The most useful and interesting letters we get here from home are from children seven or eight years old...They write simply and naturally and without strain for effect. They tell all they know, and stop." Mark Twain

Giverny, France

I’ve been blessed to visit France on a number of occasions. It had a profoundly inspiring and liberating experience. Especially my time at Giverny. France was full of lessons. It was an adventure. I called it my, ‘painting experience’. This is the front door into our studio that we had there.

Around the Corner

I wonder what's around the corner... it seems that in my life, I always want to see what is around the next corner. Even with life's twists and turns, there is something somewhere around the next bend that will stimulate us to explore and create something new in our lives. I want to always live life to its fullest, no matter what is around the corner.

A rose is such a perfect and beautiful thing to look at and admire. It is simple, yet very intricate in its composition. And the fragrances that roses give off... heavenly. There is always a special place in my life for roses.

Summer Arrives

Well, summer has finally arrived on Sequim Bay, after a really overcast and cool spring. I am really thankful to live here, it is still cooler and nicer than what is happening in the rest of the country this summer. We always say that summer really starts July 5th in Western Washington. We might even make it up to 80 degrees next week. YES...!!
