Relaxing Moments

Stepping onto the wet deck, I quietly watched the rain falling. As I looked around at my gardens and water in the bay my senses were filled with the rich, relaxing smell of damp Earth and the smells of the sea. As I meditated on what was happening around me, a smile slowly appeared on my face. At that moment, I realized that life is unfolding around me in a very delightful way….sounds of rain, waves, leaves slowly falling to the ground, little creatures scurrying about, water dripping from the eves. I think that it is a perfect time for a fire in the chimney.
