Shadows

Wikipedia says that a shadow is an area where direct light from a light source cannot reach due to obstruction by an object... which is a very true statement, but I look at shadows from an artistic standpoint. A shadow is just another abstract line to contemplate and incorporate into my thoughts and into a painting. It is really beautiful how light and shadows can interplay with each other to make wonderful patterns in nature and manmade items. Again, I must write... that beauty is everywhere, if we would take time out of our busy day to explore.
